What's Included 

Group return flights, full medical support, experienced Tour Manager, accommodation, transfers.

What's Not Included 

Airport tax - £150  approx. travel insurance, breakfast on day 1, lunch on day 5, optional tours, gratuities & spending money.

How To Take Part 

To sign up for this challenge you will need to pay a registration fee and pick from one of the following two payment options:

1. Option 1 (Mimimum Sponsorship) - You pay £299 registratipon fee and agree to raise the £2775 sponsorship fee (and airport tax £150 approx).

2. Option 2 (Own Place) - You pay £299 registration fee, plus pay the £1870 tour cost yourself and raise as much as money as possible for your chosen charity. You will be invoiced for the tour cost approx. 10 weeks prior to departure. (You will be required to pay airport tax £150 approx).

3. Option 3: You pay £299 registration fee, plus pay the £600 towards the tour cost yourself and raise £2000 for your chosen charity. You will be invoiced for the tour cost approx. 10 weeks prior to departure. (You will be required to pay airport tax £150 approx).

Registration Fee: £299

Split registration fee option: £150 due when registering and then pay the remaining £149 within 8 weeks of your registration.

Itinerary

Day 1:

Arrival

Flight London to Kajaani or Kuusamo airports. Transfer to the Martinselkonen Wilds Centre (2 hours). Dinner and overnight here.

Day 2:

Get to know your bike

After breakfast its time to get to know the bikes and equipment. The guide will make sure that everyone’s bike has right adjustment for the rider. We learn to use the bike gears and brakes and guide gives tips for safe cycling in a snow. At first we will try the bikes on the road. Then its time to move off road. We will do a 7km route to practise.

We will cycle the route to get the first touch on cycling on snow. The aim of the day is that everyone is comfortable with the bikes and cycling on snow. Lunch and dinner are served at the dining area. (In the evening time for optional activities like explore the forest with snowshoes).

Day 3:

Teerilampi trail                                                                                                                                            (Approx. 17 km)

After breakfast its time to start our first longer cycling day. We will head to the Teerilampi circle trail that will take us to Martinselkonen Nature Reserve. We will cycle in the snow-white landscape just next to Russian border. We will enjoy outdoor lunch at Teerilampi wilderness hut.

Day 4:

Lake side trail                                                                                                                                              (Approx. 23km)

This day we will head to Lake trail. This trail goes around beautiful Öllöri-lake. One part of the trail is on ice. On the way we can see the Finland-Russia border poles. (Outdoor lunch will be served)

Day 5:

Martinjoki trail                                                                                                                                              (Approx. 24km)

After breakfast we will start another cycling day in Martinselkonen Nature protection area. Evening celebration dinner to celebrate this special tough activity!

Day 6:

Departure

After breakfast transfer to the airport to take a flight back home.
